What Animals Say to Each Other by Jakob Streit…a review

FullSizeRender (8)This lovely title was sent to me by Nina Kuettel, who, because of her love of Author Jakob Streit’s work, translated it from German to English so that it could reach many more homes. We are certainly very happy that it reached us 🙂

The book is made up of thirty ‘conversations’ between animals, from ‘Butterfly and Cricket‘ to ‘Hedgehog, Snail and Tomcat‘, and is written in rhyming verse to;

‘illustrate the variety and uniqueness of some very delightful creatures’

 The book itself is of a wonderful quality and each double page has an accompanying line drawing by a very talented thirteen year old (Kilian Beck) depicting the featured creatures FullSizeRender (9)

These ‘conversations’ are perfect for times spent outdoors surrounded by nature, as they are really brought alive this way. The book will be coming with us on our Summer picnics and outdoor adventures as it is ideal for sharing as a family during ‘circle’ or story time. I haven’t been able to choose a favourite because I love them all in different ways!

Available here This book is a must for the bookshelves of any nature loving families or individuals, it is one that will be brought out time and time again, passed down through, and loved by, generations!

This book was sent to me (free of charge) in return for my review. All opinions are my own.
